Job Description
In this role at CelcomDigi, you will get to have the opportunity to work with the best Sales and Retail team members whom will be working closely with you to increase sales, get buyer’s attention and to provide an excellent in-store experience at our branded CelcomDigi stores.
The single objective is to deploy visual merchandising strategy to convert walk-in customers into new sales prospects with cross selling and upselling, drive branding objectives and maximize stores’ profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Define, design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy
- Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead the customer through the entire store
- Produce window displays, signs, interior displays, floor plans and special promotions displays
- Identify key messages and set a clear image of the end result
- Come up with, revise and present design ideas with assistant merchandisers
- Act in alignment to the organization’s culture, products, image and target market
- Monitor costs and work within budget
- Oversee the production and brief staff on arranging displays
- Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes
- Liaise with suppliers and source elements
- Research lifestyle, demographics and design trends
Requirements:
- With more than 5 years’ experience of managing trade marketing or visual merchandising portfolio for a large enterprise, annual turn over of more than RM100mil
- Other advantageous exposures would be: having the direct experience in Go-To-Market, from strategy to framework development to operation/execution
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Sense of urgency with good time-management skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Passionate leader at the same time, someone the team will be able to seek guidance from and also a supportive team player among the management team members
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- BA in Business Management, Marketing, or similar relevant field
- Good communication skills, while must be able to see the overall strategies for each initiative, translate them to key selling pitch in accordance to the audience.
- Strong at managing KPIs and deliverables as is expected in any sales and service organization.
- Possesses high discipline in staying truth and meeting timelines and while having the skills in project management.
- Very passionate about understanding customers and the trade, always listening, knowing their needs/expectations and striving towards exceeding them.
- Always looking for new way of work, challenging the “norm” processes and rules to drive better communication effectiveness, especially on the embracing the digital assets in future POSM development.
- Alert on the surrounding/related industries development in trade merchandising.
- Capable in managing stakeholders, both external and internal to leverage on each other strengths to deliver “more with less”
