System Configuration and Maintenance Engineer Specialist

Job Description

Drive an BAU operation and services. It includes engaging Solution team to provide solutioning, support TQA team for testing, deployment and support user specific requirements with the objective of timely and quality delivery of existing and new capability to Customer, within the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Solution Architect and other platform owners on product roadmap and provide recommendation and advice for solution design.
• Work closely with business stakeholder on new product feature/function delivery. Constantly provide innovative ideas.
• Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as portability, scalability, compatibility & security.
• Manage, plan & execute project CR/IT capabilities in a timely manner and within acceptable quality & cost.
• Work closely in assisting business stakeholder in preparing final Change Request.
• Ensure timeliness in delivering company initiatives based on business timeline.
• Support internal and external stakeholders, partners & vendors in the delivery of capabilities.
• Proactively track & analyze traffic trending based on capacity tracking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, Telecommunication or Computer Science.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Basic knowledge in system administration (configuration, production activity, etc.) related to relevant fields.
• Added advantages if have technical skills in UNIX, Linux, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, Windows, Oracle PL/SQL, scripting languages e.g. Perl/PHP/shell scripts.
• Adaptable to flexible working hours. Willing to work & standby, including festive and public holiday if required.
• Understand and comply with the company Standard Operating Procedures & Policies, methods, and processes.
• Good communication, presentation and report writing skills.
• Constantly have a customer mindset i.e., able to think and react in ways that will be beneficial or cause least disruption to our customers.
• Make sure resources are always available within your team to react to any issue at hand and must have the foresight in anticipating this.
• Strong track record of technology delivery
• Demonstrated success in creating a delivery organization using relevant tools and processes.
