Head of Data Strategy & Architecture

Job Description

A.  Data Strategy (Data Strategy, Integration & Migration, Data Lifecycle, Value Creation)

• Design structures, business cases and plans to meet the current and long-term data requirements of the enterprise.
• Strategically prepare organizations to quickly evolve their products, services, and data to take advantage of business opportunities inherent in emerging technologies.
• Accountable for Data Strategy & Next Gen technologies (Knowledge Graphs, AI, ML, NLP, Cloud, etc) related to Data Governance & Management
• Develop and implement a data migration strategies and standards to ensure seamless integration of data from various sources.
• Collect and organize data in alignment with Data Governance, Quality, Security, People & Culture, Master Data Management, and Data Infrastructure policies and standards.

B.  Data Architecture (Dictionary, Landscape, Metadata, Lineage, Modeling and Design)

• Managing movement and consolidation of data within and between applications, processes and organizations.
• Planning, Implementation and control activities to enable access to high quality and integrated metadata.
• Process of discovering, analyzing, and scoping data requirements.
• Creates a foundation to successfully complete broad-scoped initiatives (including systems implementation) such as Data Quality & Master Data Management and Data Governance programs (including Data Protection, Data Lifecycle Management, etc).
• Accountable for Data Lifecycle, Integration & Interoperability, Distribution/Sharing, Metadata/Catalog/Lineage, Data Modelling and Design
• Responsible for Enterprise Data Architecture setup and maintenance – Define Business Goals and Objectives, Assess Current State Data Architecture, Define Data Architecture Framework, Design Data Architecture, Select and Evaluate Technology Stacks, Implement Data Architecture, Data Migration, Testing, Training & Change Management, Maintenance & Continuous Improvement.
• Deliver Performance monitoring and reporting    

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study
• Total 10 -15 years of working experience consist of 8-10 years relevant experience in Data Strategy and Data Architecture design, setup, maintenance, optimization, and operations. Including Data Protection (Security & Privacy), Data Quality, Data Strategy & Next Gen technologies, Data Integration & Interoperability, Distribution/Sharing, Metadata/Catalog/Lineage, Data Modelling and Design
• At least 10 years of experience in data architectures which include ETL pipelines, data lakes, data warehouse and monitoring infrastructure
• Requires advanced knowledge of Data analysis and data management tools to be able to recommend and provide industry best practices.
• Hands-on knowledge for Design, Build, Maintenance, Monitoring, Optimization of Enterprise Level of Data Governance and Data Management Frameworks.
• Experience in data engineering, probability and statistics, machine learning, experimental design, and optimization
• Excellent knowledge in ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines, SQL, Data Analysis, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, Data Collection, Data Mining, Data Mapping, Data Processing for Structured & Unstructured data
