Head of Store Development & Roll Out

Job Description: 

Role Summary

This position manages celcomdigi branded stores roll out and keeping them in good conditions, via strong and structured project management.

Main tasks include but not limited in all the above mentioned new stores roll out and existing stores relocation if applicable, the related maintenance work to upkeep/maintain the conditions of the stores for branding and day-to-day operation. He/she will also actively looking at the improvement on the current tools/fixtures at the stores, championing the end-to-end process from idealization to proposal to implementation. 

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the new design concept of celcomdigi stores within Sales & Retail division, taking the customer’s journey as the center of attention
  • Own and be accountable for new celcomdigi stores’ roll out and relocation (whenever applicable) activities nationwide based on submission by regions and Sales HQ (Sales Planning and Retail Operations)
  • Manage store maintenance and improvement activities to upkeep all the mentioned stores’ conditions and their fixtures/tools functionality are being carried out in timely manner and quality of work to meet the expectations set during the planning stage.
  • Roll out new features or additional tools/capabilities whenever necessary to support new deployment within the stores for e.g. Kiosks, accessories corners etc.
  • Monitor and plan with the team for the on-going projects and activities, providing periodic update (weekly to supervisor and bi-weekly to key stakeholders) with proper tracking chart/file.
  • Collect/consolidate all requirements from key stakeholders based on 1+3 quarters basis and manage all projects diligently from execution timeline and budget perspective.
  • On the above, cover end to end works/project budget accordingly, raising PR/PO, ensuring receiving/closure is done correctly and manage spending via quarterly CapEx and OpEx (IP and EDMS) forecast and submission to Business Planning/Finance/Performance Management, inclusive of the YTD utilization and optimization if required so.
  • Work closely with Sourcing/Procurement to ensure all projects are executed within the budget and process guidelines.
  • Accept any other ad hoc role and job assignment from time to time in relation to store roll out and maintenance.

Requirements

  • With more than 10 years’ experience in Store Development or Roll Out related job, doing the end-to-end implementation from design to execution of the roll out.
  • Other advantageous exposures would be: having experience in rolling out new chain stores or franchise stores for telco/electronic industry or any reputable brand/companies with the total touchpoints of more than 100 nationwide.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Sense of urgency with good time-management skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Good team player and great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor degree in Science, IT, Commerce, or similar relevant field
  • Strong at managing project deliverables, KPIs and timeline together with the team members as is expected in an sales organization.

  • Very passionate about understanding customers, both internal and external, knowing their needs and expectations 
  • Always looking for new way of work, challenging the “norm” processes and rules to drive better operation efficiency.
  • Alert on the surrounding/related industries development in the retail store development, from look and feel to the customer journey to digitalization of the existing in store tools.
  • Capable in managing vendors and internal stakeholders (sourcing, Sales HQ function teams and Sales Regional leaders) to land in the “win-win” situations in better support each other businesses and operations.
