Job Description: 

You are:

​​​​1. Good communication skills in both oral and writtten forms, detail oriented and strong organisational skills

Your merits:

1. Professional qualifications, CPA ACCA or equivalent

2. Minimum 8 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting or similar roles in a listed company, including 4 years in audit.

3. Possess strong analytical skills in financial analysis, variance analysis and management reporting.

4. Possess good knowledge and understanding on Approved Accounting Standards issued by MASB, Companies Act 2016 requirements as well as Bursa Listing Requirements ruls, and any other legal aspects of financial reporting to ensure quality reporting and compliance.

5. Proficient in Ms Excel and Ms Office applications and SAP

6. Experience in Listed Co and working in fast changing environment will be a plus

  1. Examine, control and supervise group financial accounting and reporting (CelcomDigi and Celcom Groups) to provide management, shareholders and relevant key internal and external stake holders a reliable and timely view of the group’s financial performance and position for effective decision making and satisfy annual statutory audit requirements via the following key deliverables:
    • Management reports to CDM
    • Principals reporting
    • Quarterly announcements
    • Quarterly Board and Audit Committee papers
    • MCMC reporting (other than Accounting Separation)
    • Regulator statistical reporting
    • Statutory accounts and annual audit co-ordination across the group
    • MCMC audit co-ordination
    • Ad hoc reporting as required by management

 

  1. Oversight over the financial accounting and reporting of non-wholly owned subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates of the group.
  2. Drive the implementation of group policies and procedures to standardise the accounting and reporting treatment of significant items / transactions across the group for better comparability and control.
  3. Examine, control and supervise holding entities’ (CelcomDigi Berhad & Celcom Berhad) financial operations, accounting and reporting to provide management, shareholders and relevant key internal and external stake holders a reliable and timely view of the entity’s financial performance and position for effective decision making.
  4. Governance over CelcomDigi Group’s ERP system’s fundamental architecture and master data used by Finance such as the ERP GL Chart of Accounts for better control and sustainability.
  5. Provide technical advisory to support the finance teams across the group on accounting technical applications and updates, includes preparation of Accounting Paper.
  6. Analyse and implement actions to improve the operational structure of the unit to achieve optimal state of operations, both economically (cost savings) and qualitatively (efficiency, quality of output, etc).
