Job Description: 

Job Summary:

Oversees group finance operations, ensuring accurate consolidation and compliance with MFRS and Bursa requirements. Manages regulatory reporting, quarterly/annual filings, and collaborates across business units to standardize reporting and maintain consistency across subsidiaries and joint ventures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full spectrum of Bursa Malaysia reporting, including quarterly and annual reports, announcements and circulars.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidation financial statements in accordance with the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and the Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
  • Oversee the day to day operations of the group finance function, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness, includes review consolidation of financial statements for the group, subsidiaries and joint ventures.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with IFRS, GAAP, or other applicable accounting standards, includes communications on standardisation of application across the group, subsidiaries and joint ventures.
  • Collaborate with finance teams across different business units to ensure consistency in reporting.
  • Manages other regulatory reporting, including monthly and quarterly reports to banks, licensing authorities and others.
  • Any other related functions assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Experience in a Bursa Malaysia listed company.
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Lead, mentor and develop finance team across the group functions.
  • Organised person with attention to details and accuracy.
  • Possess drive, initiative and work commitment.
  • Strong team player and adaptable to change
