Indirect Channel Specialist (Lower Southern) - 6 months
Role Summary
This is a 6-months contract role based in Taman Molek, Johor.
This role supports trade marketing by developing channel strategies, managing point-of-sale materials, and executing promotions. It involves analyzing sales data, tracking budgets, researching competitors, and assisting with events. The aim is to boost brand visibility and sales through targeted marketing efforts and data-informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Channel Strategy Support: Assist in the development of trade marketing strategies tailored to specific retail and distribution channels. Ensure that channel-specific plans align with overall brand objectives and are executed efficiently.
- Point of Sale (POS) Materials Management: Coordinate the creation, distribution, and implementation of promotional materials, displays, and other assets to enhance brand visibility at the retail and open channel level.
- Trade Promotions: Support the execution of trade promotions by working closely with the sales and marketing teams to plan, track, and analyze promotional activities to drive sales and achieve business targets.
- Sales and Channel Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and provide insights that help optimize marketing efforts for each channel.
- Budget Tracking and Reporting: Assist in monitoring and tracking trade marketing budgets, ensuring that expenses are within approved limits. Provide regular reports to management on budget performance and ROI of channel programs.
- Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Conduct research to understand competitor activities in various channels. Provide insights into industry trends and help adjust marketing plans accordingly.
- Event & Activation Support: Assist in organizing trade events, product launches, and in-store activations. Coordinate logistics, promotional materials, and ensure events run smoothly.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years working experience
- Education: BA in Business Management, Marketing, or similar relevant field
- With more than 5 years’ experience in trade marketing or merchandising portfolio
- Advantageous exposures would be having the direct experience in Go-To-Market operation/execution
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sense of urgency with good-time management skills.
- Detailed and meticulous
